Cheek kiss??????????

So me and my bf havnt kissed yet...were both 16...we were good friends before we dated...weve almost dated for two months now and stilll no kiss...were going iceskating this weekend. Should i kiss him on the cheek? Just a little kiss to let him know i care and maybe that will give him the hint i want a kiss? Helpp :)
