Why is my uper chin and lower cheek numb?

My parents are in the process of divorce and I live with my mom. My dad cheated on her with this young woman at his office and told her to either accept it or leave (they used fight really loudly) so she left. First of all I'm so sorry to hear that for you, your son, and your family :( Second, I believe you did the right thing by talking to him and letting him tell you how he really felt, I'm glad he felt he was able to do that. One problem I've noticed with so many boys is that they're taught to hide their emotions, that they're "not man enough if they show how they feel". I do agree that a man has to learn to be strong because he will one day be the rock of his family, and Lord knows us women can cry and be emotional lol. But while growing up and maturing they need to understand that expressing their thoughts and feelings is VERY important. As they get older they need to be able to share that with their wife too. My fiance is very strong, and not many people see him upset, but he knows he can come to me and tell me everything that bothers him, and cry if need be. We built that comfort and trust with each other from the beginning. I'm not a psychologist, but my advice would be this: Let your son know that he can ALWAYS talk to you, that you are not gonna think less of him as a man if he cries ever now and then. Tell him you still cry sometimes too, thats part of the healing process (And don't be afraid to cry with him, seeing your emotions will reassure him that its ok to be upset). Don't ask him every other day how he's feeling and if he's okay though, because as a young teenager you'll just be that 'annoying dad' lol, but do ask occasionally, especially if he hasn't said anything in a long time. And bring your wife, his mother, up in conversation. Recall fond memories of her with a laugh and a smile. That lets him know you haven't forgotten her either. I don't know what else you can do, you can put him in counseling but sometimes that backfires, a kid often sees that as "wow my parents don't care enough to talk to me/don't want to deal with me so they stuck me in a room with some shrink, like I'm really gonna tell this dude how i feel?!" But sometimes its helpful so its up to you, I would try being his 'shrink' before I stuck him with a stranger. But the relationship that ya'll will build if you take my earlier advice will benefit both of you for the rest of your lives, he'll come to you for college advice, marriage advice, etc, you could be his best friend. I hope and pray everything turns out better than ok, and I hope this helped at least a little. God Bless

Best foundation for oily, acne-prone skin?

I am a teen, and I have extremely oily skin, not just my t-zone, but my cheeks as well. I need a good light-medium coverage foundation that has a pump or a squeeze tube! I HATE open bottle/capped foundations. I have the hardest time with them and end up applying too much. Like I said, I want an oil controlling, cheap, long-wearing foundation. Neutrogena Acne Kit Question?

Okay so I bought the Neutrogena Acne Kit a few weeks ago. In the first week it was working great, but then two days ago at night I washed off all my makeup and I looked at my face and their was acne everywhere! I've only had acne mainly in my forehead and a few on my cheeks or around my mouth, but mostly in my forehead. Anyways, I noticed that the acne was only were I put the oil free lotion at! No where else I had acne!! What should I do? It's been 2 days that I haven't used the acne kit! Should I keep using it? Cause remember, the first or two weeks it was working wonders then all of the sudden it got worse? I really want my acne gone, any suggestions?

What Could I have Done Differently?

My Guinea Pig sow died Saturday from childbirth. I'm not sure exactly how old she was, but my guess is 7 months or so. She had two still born pups on Friday night at 9:30 pm- they were obviously under-developed because they had no hair, fused eyelids and ear buds that were not fully formed. After she had them, I removed them from the cage to let her rest...but I saw no blood, placenta or cords of any kind. The next day she was lethargic and obviously in pain. I noticed some bloody discharge in her cage. I wrapped her in a towel and put a hot compress on her to try to induce the discharge of the placenta and rubbed her belly gently. She seemed septic already and was shivering, and I though of giving her infants tylenol susp.-but I didn't want to give her anything that could damage her liver. My only thought was if the placenta didn't come out, or another pup was in there...she would die of sepsis. So, I put gentle pressure on her belly right above her vagina and held onto the cord coming out of her, but didn't tug or pull...yet she died on my lap after about a minute of trying at around 4pm, less than 24 hours after giving birth. I find it hard to believe she was that septic already. Was it me pulling the cord? Maybe the babies were dead for awhile and she was septic from that to begin with? I have no experience with this and her widow will remain alone because I DO NOT want to deal with this again. Does anyone have any input? Is this common?

What can i do about acne?

so i have some acne but their pretty small on my right cheek and on my forehead and i wash my face twice EVERY day. my normal washing routine is, soap and water, then dry it off, then use sea breeze (really gets the dirt off), and then i put clearisil "4 hours" on over night. it's pretty much the same and i'm not really seeing any results even though my face is clearly clean. This sounds like a clear cut case of verbal abuse which if your under 18 is child abuse but in any right it needs to stop. If you confide in your father talk to him about what's going on and see if he can help. I would recomend family therapy. Usualy things like this are learned ie. Your mother was abused when she was a child and she never got help and she has become the abuser. In any case its not good for any one involved and help sould be sought as soon as possible.

I'd imagine it has to do with you being overweight. Being overweight is harder on your body than it would be if you were an alcoholic and heavy smoker. Being overweight will destroy your body, causing early death. Some overweight people die as young as 25 - 30 years old because it is so hard on your body. All of your organs are squished inside you and wrapped in a dense layer of adipose (fat). Your body has to work hundreds of times harder just to do everyday activities that a normal persons body wouldn't even find hard. You should not wory about your sciatica anymore as it is cureable. You need to get off the couch, eat right and exercise. Getting a good pair of insoles will help. Spend some money on good shoes and then hit the gym. After you have lost a bunch of weight you might be comfortable enough to swim in a public pool. If I were you i'd swim 5 days a week for atleast an hour. Do I have acne scars, or something else?

I had the worst breakout of my life in March of this year. The entire bottom half of my face had lots of little pimples all over it. All the pimples are gone on my cheeks, but now in each pimple's place are small red dots. The dots aren't bumps, they're not dry, or oily, or anything, they don't feel any different from the rest of my skin. If I didn't have a mirror, I wouldn't even know they're there; they're like red pigmentation. The most frustrating part is, they still look exactly like pimples, so my skin still doesn't look clear even though it actually is. At first I thought they were acne scars, but I Googled "acne scars," and the results didn't look anything like what's on my face. I really would like to get rid of them once and for all, but since I have no idea what they are, I don't know what to do about them. Can someone please tell me what these miserable dots are and how to get rid of them?

Why won't my skin totally clear?

Like I clean my face everyday with clean and clear deep action exfoliating scrub, it's blue, and I get acne on my chin, top of my cheeks by my eyes, my nose and on the upper upper part of my nose by my eyes uk and my skin is like always got little zits and it's so annoying it's never actually clear plz help is there a better acne cleanser that actually works rlly good to actually clear my face in those areas?!?

Your right, the bible does teach the the meek will inherit the earth. After a person dies, his spirit goes to be with Christ. The flesh and bone stays behind, so yes if you opened up the grave, the flesh and bone would still be there. There will be a resurrection however and the spirit and body will come together again and be perfect. This is when we will dwell on the earth forever - "heaven" so to speak. The earth will be back to it's intended beauty and this will be our home.

The wire for my braces is just barely too long?

What should I color my hair?

I have right below my shoulder length, naturally wavy hair. It's natural color is medium brown (not a light color but not TOO dark) with very faint auburn highlights (natural) I feel only I can see. I have somewhat tan skin because I get tan easily. I don't have an insane amount but I do have freckles on my cheeks. I have dark brown eyes. I'd like to dye my hair. We have become walking billboards. Have to have the nike shoes with the nike symbol on it and our t shirts. Now with Tattoo's which are different than shoes or t shirts we can take off and throw away once we grow up enough to realize that being a walking billboard for unpaid endorsement of products or beliefs, but a tattoo is forever. Can't so easily be removed. Everybody impulse shops, fills their homes with things they don't need and yet they can't stop shopping, can't stop tattooing themselves either, can't get enough nike. I saw a video that says tv has subliminal messages on it. I know back in the 50's and 60's, many companies snuck in subliminal messages in all tv shows and movies and commercials. They made them stop eventually (after 20 years first of brain washing) but apparently its back on again. If people are acting stranger, they might try turning off the tv. If we need news or weather now, we have the internet. Pretty much all shows on TV you can watch somewhere on the web for free anyway. We pay a ton for cable so we can have 200 or more channels, when we can only watch one channel at a time, this TV addiction has gone over the tipping point. And now tattooing is the rage and nobody knows why. I'm betting, some subliminal things on tv are trying to get us to vegetate ourselves into some kind of idiotic stupor and become the non thinking zombies of the future they will need. I turned off my tv for good 2 years ago and the change in me is so astounding. I don't impulse shop anymore. I have no desire to be a walking billboard either. How to make foundation more creamy and less caky or fake looking?

I have combination skin, I'm oily in the T-zone area but my cheeks are super dry I also have redness and I have these weird little spots on my face kinda like hives.. There not red or anything is the same as my skin color...you could only really see it in bright light. My doctor said its nothing and that just how my skin is. Anyways anytime I put foundation on it looks good except for my cheeks...you could obviously tell I have make-up and it doesn't look good it looks kinda fake. Is there any way I can put on foundation without looking all caky? I've tried all kinds of foundation, I've used clinique, calvin Klein, sephoras collection, mac everything that's basically out. Is my make up routine okay? good for the skin? not trashy?

I use a facewash in the shower and remove make up. Then when Im out I mousturize my entire face. I put my foundation on my palm to warm it up then i use a makeup sponge thing and put it on my face to even out my tone. I then add pencil eyeliner on my lower lid and in the corners, then I put on about 2 coats of mascara on upper and lower lids. I then use blush on my cheeks, brow bone, chin, nose, and forehead (lightly on it).

I know this guy with whom I work with. I work part time & mostly evenings so I don't see him that much, but when I do we always say good bye with a hug. Black Widow Infestation?

Canker sores after tooth extracted?

I had my second to last top molar pulled the other day due to root resorption. I am scheduled for an implant in 2 weeks. It didn't hurt one bit. The next morning I was a little swollen, and there was a little pain where the noNovocaineas injected, but nothing bad. Now, today, the 3rd day, I have this horrible pain, but its not from where the tooth was pulled...I developed these canker sores on the tops of my gums above where the tooth was pulled, but not right next to the extraction site, at the very top of my gums, where it joins my cheek, and there's about 2 or 3 of them. I get them every now and them from trauma to my gums (like if I slip brushing, or stab myself with something I eat-like potato chips, etc) But that's not the case here...I think maybe the dentist's instruments may have done this? They didnt mention that they slipped or that I would develop canker sores. It hurts really bad...but not from the extraction. Is this normal, and what can I do to help them heal faster?

Question about accutane?

ok, ever sense I was 13/14 I used to get mild pimples just on my forehead. I had shaggy long hair and it just came along with greasy hair. I got benzyl peroxide and it helped, but left like red marks, that im assuming are scars. Now i'm 16, and i dont get acne anymore on my forehead, its moved to my face. its moderate, but the pimples i get are like red sore bumps, and as of now only have like 2 active, but like 5-6 dark red marks on each cheek but theyre like left over from acne. These red marks aparently look like moles, and they match my skin, but that all depends on the lighting.. The red marks/scars have been there for months and havent faded. I got minocycline from the doctor a month ago, but that didnt help the red marks at all. 4 days ago i was put on 40mg of accutane, and my dermotologist said "your condition is very moderate it should be all cleared up in a month or 2"... so based on peoples experiences, and what i've said what do you think about my situation? I thought you skin was suppose to break out in the first few months, is it possible to be cured so soon? my friend had it really bad, and he was all cleared up in 3-4 months,.... im on summer holidays now, and i have atleast 60 days left before school, but will that be enough time?

What to do with the pokey wire on my braces?

I went to the ortho yesterday and a wire is poking me. Badly. Finding my baby daddy has been quite an adventure. Let me start off by saying that I can be categorized as a free spirited woman not bound the idiocracy of monogamy. He was pale skinned, blue eyed, and blond hair; the works! He put me up in his apartment while he went to work during the day as an accountant. We even set up a nursery. When, my baby came out half black, I told him the color came from my side of the family even though I am also a blonde hair blue eyed individual. For a while he believed me, until her hair started kinking up and her skin began brown more and more. One day when I came home, I found that both my daughter and I had been locked out, for good. I went to my mother's house with a determination to find the baby daddy. There were about 5 other possibilities because she was half black. So, I could immediately rule out the one Asian, and two Hispanic guys. I immediately got to work. I tracked down two guys on facebook. They basically called me out for being slut and really hurt my feelings. I had given up, when one day I got a call from Earl. He said he felt connected to me and he didn't know why. When i revealed the news of his potential daughter, he wept. I couldn't console him over the phone, so I asked that he come over to visit me. I greeted him at the door with only a coat on. Camtasia Studio 7 is a program where it records everything on the screen plus whatever audio thats playing on the computer. Cyberlink PowerDirector 7 is where you can take a video and put PIPs and many other things into the video. Lets say you want to take a dancing monkey out of a video and add a background. Just make sure it has a solid background and you can add anything to the background of it. There is a person on Youtube named tofaboys that used Cyberlink.
